1. Inspection
We examine the wheel for bends, cracks, corrosion, and surface damage. We check the bead seat, the barrel, the spokes, and the center bore. This tells us what the wheel needs and whether it's repairable.

High-Quality Rim and Wheel Repair Solutions
We have been doing wheel repairs in Santa Ana since 2010. That is long enough to have worked on just about every wheel type, finish, and damage scenario that comes through the door. Daily drivers, customs, track builds, exotics. Alloy, steel, chrome, powder coated. If it rolls, we have probably fixed it.
What keeps customers coming back is not a complicated pitch. We do not talk you into repairs you do not need. We inspect the wheel first, tell you what it needs, give you a price, and wait for your go-ahead. If it is not repairable, we tell you that too and help you find a replacement rather than sending you out the door with a wheel we are not confident in. Turnaround is fast. Most repairs are done in one to three business days.
The work is done in-house at our Santa Ana shop, not sent out, so we control the timeline and the quality from start to finish. Free estimates. No pressure.

We handle the full range of wheel damage at our Santa Ana shop. Whether you came in with a fresh curb rash or a wheel that stopped holding air after a pothole, our team will inspect it, tell you exactly what it needs, and get it done right.
Most wheels that look finished are not. A bent rim from a pothole, a crack that's slowly leaking air, curb rash that's been there for six months. These are fixable. Buying a replacement is almost never your only option. Metalworks & Tire Place has been repairing wheels for Santa Ana drivers since 2010. We work on daily drivers, performance cars, trucks, and exotics. Bring it in for a free estimate and we'll tell you exactly what the wheel needs and what it will cost before any work starts.

Here is what happens from the moment you drop off your wheel to the moment it goes back on your car. Most repairs are completed within one to three business days. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when you drop off.
We examine the wheel for bends, cracks, corrosion, and surface damage. We check the bead seat, the barrel, the spokes, and the center bore. This tells us what the wheel needs and whether it's repairable.
Bent wheels go on our hydraulic press, where we apply controlled pressure to reshape the metal to spec. We work in passes, measuring between each one.
Cracked areas are cleaned, welded, and reinforced. The weld is then ground smooth and the repaired area is blended before finishing.
We sand and prep the entire wheel surface before any finish work. Old paint, corrosion, and rough spots are addressed at this stage.
Paint, powder coat, machine cut, or polish is applied depending on the service requested and the original wheel finish.
Every repaired wheel is balanced and inspected before it leaves the shop. We confirm it holds air and runs true before signing off on it.
Most damaged wheels can be repaired. The answer depends on where the damage is and how severe it is.
Bent wheels are repairable when the bend is in the barrel or outer lip. Cracks are repairable in most locations except the center hub area, where the structural load is too high to weld safely. Curb rash and surface damage are almost always repairable regardless of severity. Corrosion on the bead seat can often be cleaned up and treated, though heavily corroded wheels may need a full refinish.
A wheel is typically not repairable when the crack runs through the center hub, when a bend is severe enough to have compromised the metal structure beyond straightening, or when the wheel is cracked in multiple locations from a hard impact.
Not sure where your wheel falls? Bring it in. We inspect every wheel before quoting anything and give you a clear answer before work begins.
