High-Quality Wheel Straightening Solutions
A bent wheel does not always look bent. Sometimes the damage shows up as a steering wheel that vibrates at highway speeds, a slow leak that no one can find the source of, or tires wearing unevenly on one side. The wheel took a hit from a pothole, a curb, or an impact you barely felt, and the rim is no longer round.
Wheel straightening is the repair that fixes that. Using hydraulic equipment, a technician mounts the wheel on a precision straightening machine, locates the bend, and applies controlled pressure to bring the rim back to its original shape. The wheel is then rebalanced and checked before it goes back on the vehicle. When it's done right, you get a wheel that holds air, rolls true, and does not put stress on your tires or suspension.
At Metalworks & Tire Place, we work on alloy and steel wheels across all makes and models. Most straightening jobs are completed the same day.

These are the most common signs a wheel has been bent and needs attention:
Your steering wheel vibrates, especially between 50 and 70 mph. One tire is losing air slowly with no visible puncture. Your car pulls to one side even after a recent alignment. You can see a visible dent or flat spot on the rim. You heard or felt a hard impact from a pothole or curb strike, and something has felt slightly off since.
None of these symptoms fix themselves. A bent wheel places uneven load on the tire, accelerates wear, and can eventually cause a blowout. The sooner it is addressed, the less damage carries over to the tire and suspension.

The whole process typically takes one to two hours depending on the severity of the bend.
The wheel is removed and mounted on a straightening machine that measures runout: how far out of round the rim is and exactly where the deviation sits.
Controlled hydraulic pressure works the metal back into spec. Alloy wheels get careful heat management during this phase to avoid cracking.
Once the wheel is within tolerance, the tire is remounted and road-force balanced.
We do not return a wheel to a vehicle until it holds air and measures correctly on the balancer.
Wheel straightening is one of the services we do most, which means we have seen every type of bend across every type of wheel: factory alloys, aftermarket rims, low-profile setups, and truck wheels. We know what is repairable and what is not, and we will tell you honestly before any work begins.
Every wheel we straighten is inspected before and after. We use hydraulic precision equipment, not improvised tools. And because we also mount and balance tires in-house, the full repair is handled in one visit. If you want a fresh finish while the wheel is already off, we offer wheel powder coating in-house.
Same-day service is available for most straightening jobs. Walk-ins are welcome.

Not every bent wheel can be safely repaired. If the damage is at the center bore or hub mounting area, the structural integrity of the wheel is compromised and repair is not recommended. Cracks on the spoke face are also a reason to replace rather than repair. In those cases, we will tell you upfront rather than straighten a wheel that should not go back on the road. If the wheel is not repairable, we can help source a replacement.
